Healthy vision is as important to a newborn baby as it is to someone who is 95 years old. Although most of us take our sight for granted, diseases, accidents, infections, and age can all endanger our vision. At this site we have described the most common ocular ailments and have noted both medical and surgical treatments. The list is not exhaustive and, of course, none of the information is intended to take the place of an examination by an ophthalmologist.
