Ocular histoplasmosis syndrome with choroidal neovascular membrane

Differential Diagnosis

  • Myopic degeneration: high degree of myopia present
  • Age-related macular degeneration: tends to be in older patients with macular drusen
  • Multifocal choroiditis and panuveitis: often with associated vitritis
  • Birdshot chorioretinopathy: always with associated vitritis
  • Punctate inner choroidopathy: lesion tend to be smaller and more localized to the posterior pole
