Case 165 History

59-year-old woman presented initially to outside ophthalmologist with complaint of green discharge OD
Diagnosed with “bacterial infection,” prescribed levofloxacin eyedrops and ordered an orbital CT scan
CT findings were suggestive of orbital cellulitis; patient sent to U-M ED where ophthalmology was consulted to evaluate chief complaints of pain with movement and mild blurry vision OD
Past ocular history: "Tear gland problem" OS 4 years ago
Ocular medications: Levofloxacin drops OD
Past medical history: schizophrenia, arthritis
Systemic medications: Zantac, Depakote, Lithium, Geodone, Mellaril
