Case 165 History
- 59-year-old woman presented initially to outside ophthalmologist with complaint of green discharge OD
- Diagnosed with “bacterial infection,” prescribed levofloxacin eyedrops and ordered an orbital CT scan
- CT findings were suggestive of orbital cellulitis; patient sent to U-M ED where ophthalmology was consulted to evaluate chief complaints of pain with movement and mild blurry vision OD
- Past ocular history: "Tear gland problem" OS 4 years ago
- Ocular medications: Levofloxacin drops OD
- Past medical history: schizophrenia, arthritis
- Systemic medications: Zantac, Depakote, Lithium, Geodone, Mellaril
