Fundus Photographs
Large serous retinal detachment involving central macula (yellow oval), more clearly delineated in red-free fundus photograph; attenuated foveal reflex
Fluorescein Angiograms
Early fluorescein angiogram reveals expansile dot of hyperfluorescence in macula representing the site of retinal pigment epithelium detachment (>1 DD from foveal center) with eventual leakage of fluorescein from choroid into subretinal space. Late fluorescein angiogram demonstrates fluorescein leakage filling retinal detachment in a classic “smokestack” pattern.
