Branch retinal vein occlusion

Differential Diagnosis

  • Diabetic retinopathy: history of diabetes; hemorrhages usually scattered throughout posterior pole with microaneurysms and hard exudates
  • Radiation retinopathy: history of local radiation therapy
  • Arteriole macroaneurysm: typically elderly woman with focal, hyperfluorescent lesion of angiography
