Low Vision and Visual Rehabilitation
Our Low Vision and Visual Rehabilitation Service helps patients with vision loss ranging from mild visual impairment to legal blindness. These patients typically suffer from macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and retinitis pigmentosa. In our clinic, they can try out magnification equipment (high plus glasses, telescopes, handheld and stand magnifiers) as well as a closed circuit television magnifier (CCTV) that enlarges reading material and projects it onto a TV monitor.

We also offer the services of an occupational therapist who works with patients to enhance independence in daily activities. Patients receive help in using aids that assist in functional activities such as financial management (writing checks, paying bills), meal preparation, vocational needs, and hobbies.
