Kellogg Surgeon Travels to Haiti
ANN ARBOR, MI - On Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at 4:56 p.m., an earthquake of magnitude 7.0 struck Haiti.
H. Kaz Soong, M.D., cornea surgeon at the U-M Kellogg Eye Center, had traveled to Haiti several years ago with a medical mission organization. When he learned of the earthquake, he was determined to return to Haiti to offer assistance as quickly as he could.
