On Thursday evening, February 25th, Kellogg staff began the enormous task of moving all its clinics from their current location down a long hallway, through the research tower, across a beautiful new atrium, and into the sparkling new and expanded Kellogg Eye Center. Under the direction of Carol Standardi and Pat Tongusi, the staff, movers, biomedical engineers, and many others worked throughout the weekend so the Eye Center could open to patients on Monday morning, March 1st. February 5, 2010 - Faculty and Staff Preview
Staff got a sneak peak at the new building on February 5th, just three weeks shy of opening day. The art had not yet been hung, no equipment had been moved in, and the high-tech operating rooms were waiting for their high-tech technology to arrive. However, as we all wandered through the building it was easy to see how beautiful and light the offices, clinics and laboratories would be. The views out the plentiful large windows are tremendous.
