The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences provides training in ophthalmology for the University of Michigan Health System and Medical School. Our residency and fellowship programs are routinely ranked among the best in the nation. Residents and fellows have the opportunity to train with highly-regarded faculty in a clinical program known for depth and excellence in each subspecialty.
The Department's faculty members contribute to the many other educational offerings described in this section continuing medical education for ophthalmologists, courses for allied health professionals, our visiting professor program, and weekly Grand Rounds.
